Connecting the Dots….January 2017
So much of our current news is fulfilling scripture that it’s hard to keep up. The best
thing we can do today is to connect Scripture to events as they happen and keep our
minds open as God gives us the understanding. ”…take heed, watch and pray…” (Mark
13:33). If we get too far behind the 8-ball, it will soon become difficult to absorb it all. It
will become system overload. So here are some items to help keep you up to speed:
As of February 1st, 2017
Psalms 83:
“They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name
of Israel may be remembered no more.” (v4) . Almost all middle east maps eliminate Israel
as a nation today in this attempt to erase the name of God’s people from memory. The end
goal is physical annihilation.
Ezekiel 38:16
All of the nations mentioned in this scripture have been drawn into the middle east
and the alliances are precisely as the Bible said they would be before the final battle
begins. Now we await the catalyst.
Zachariah 12
Jerusalem is indeed a cup of drunkenness to the surrounding nations as they seek
to move her boundaries and give the east half, which includes the temple mount, to the
Palestinians. Keep in mind that the Palestinians were never a people. Yassar Arafat, the
founder of the PLO, was an Egyptian. The people claiming to be Palestinians today are
displaced Arabs from the surrounding Muslim nations of Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, et
al. And the largest Muslim nations refuse to accept any refugees (i.e. Saudi Arabia has
taken none!).
I Thes. 5:3
“While they are saying peace and security (safety) then destruction will come upon
them suddenly.” These are the exact words always associated with the two state solution
since the mid nineties. Another prophetic fulfillment.
Matthew 24:10
When answering His disciples concerning the signs that would indicate His second
coming, in addition to the wars and rumors of wars and earthquakes we’re all familiar
with, Jesus also said “…and then many will be offended, will betray one another and will
hate one another.” (v10). Offended perfectly describes our mindset of political correctness
today. Everyone seems to be offended at something. Isn’t it interesting that Jesus even
takes the time to show us the worlds mental conditioning prior to His return?
Revelation 12:
The Woman, the Dragon and the Child. What may be the greatest sign in the
heavens concerning world events and God’s timetable has just recently been discovered.
The best documentary/message on this I have discovered to date can be found on Youtube.
It’s done by Steve Cioccolanti of Discover Ministries. It’s worthy of consideration. Watch &
then you decide.
As you ponder this information, however, it will be wise to remember: Our job is to occupy
until Jesus comes. And not to live fearfully. So keep your vision focused on what all of
these things mean. It is NOT the end of the world. The good news is that Jesus is
returning and will put an end to the evil in the world and will rule for the next thousand
years from Jerusalem. What is there to fear or dread about that?
Pray for America: President Trump is doing something no president has ever done at
this rate before. He’s attempting to roll back laws to once again protect the lives of the
unborn, halt immigration for ninety days from the most violent Muslim nations that export
terrorism while we restructure our vetting processes to better shield us from invading
terrorists, and repair a very broken economy that is about to collapse. A daunting task. He
cannot do it alone.
The Church awakened long enough to vote. We engaged and made the difference. We dare
not relax or let down our guard now. It is not business as usual in America. It’s time for
the Body of Christ to once again sing “Onward Christian Soldiers” and engage the enemy
with the most powerful weapon we have: prayer! “Our struggle is not against flesh and
blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this
darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians
6:12)
Note: prayer is no substitute for action, If God calls you to do something, obey.
“Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice” (I Samuel 15:22)
Beware of the coming great deception. Hint: watch Antarctica. This whole scenario is a
bit too much for this column, but I will be speaking on this at upcoming rallies. Unless
God’s children are grounded solidly in the scriptures and led by the Holy Spirit, many may
swallow one of the largest lies ever to be purveyed upon mankind.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a
sound mind.” (II Timothy 1:7)
